专家简介：夏昌玉，湖北监利人，1962年出生，巴西利亚大学数学系终身教授，博士生导师，国际知名几何学家，湖北大学讲座教授（2010-2015），巴西国家科学与技术发展委员会一级研究员（2002-至今），主持6项巴西国家基金，在American J. Math., Math. Ann., Commun. Math. Phys., Calc.Var. PDEs, Trans. Amer. Math. Soc., J. Funct. Anal., Compositio Math.,Commun. PDEs, Math. Z.等国际顶尖数学期刊上发表论文90余篇。

摘要：Minimal submanifolds have been widely studied. Many interesting pinching theorems for minimal submanifolds in a sphere or a Euclidean space have been proven. However, similar results for minimal submanifolds in a hyperbolic space are yet to be found. We prove for the first time gap theorems on the square norm of the second fundamental form of complete minimal submanifolds in a hyperbolic space. We also obtain one end theorem for them.
